The Castle walls have more than a story to tell. The architecture of the building is amazing and The Castle crew is hard at work to repurpose the building for the arts. Built in 1906, the walls of The Castle have seen it all. Originally built as a church, The Castle has blossomed into a thriving center for the arts.

The Castle Conservatory Classes have been designed to stimulate and energize young musicians and artists. Classes are offered for tots, teens, and adults. Our youthful and enthuastic teachers provide unique approaches and valuable information in private or group lessons for most instuments and genres.

The Castle would love to host you and your next big event. Whether you are planning a wedding or  a banquet, The Castle could be the perfect venue for you.

A local bully prevention organization will find it's home in The Castle. Visit our press page to read more about how TYU is helping the next future generation. Rental space is available for other interested organizations.

Hourglass Media provides the community of Beloit with a venue to enjoy the performing arts and experience education in health and wellness while preserving one of the city’s most significant architectural landmarks.

The Castle has re-vitalized the former First Presbyterian Church, built in 1906, developing it into a community center, performing arts and media venue. By providing catering and event hosting services for outside clients, we believe the property will be financially viable, allowing our non-profit corporation, The Youth Unite, Inc, to provide music education and guidance to the community with special emphasis toward our youth. The Castle is graced with an historically significant presence overlooking the city; well sited for access from the downtown district and Beloit College.  Our goal is to save the church from demolition and offer both commercial and philanthropic events, benefiting various community groups while providing Beloit with a cultural centerpiece that will  augment local employment and draw visitors and patrons from the Stateline area and beyond.

The value to Beloit of having an arts and entertainment  venue of this caliber placed between the downtown district and adjoining the Beloit College campus cannot be overstated. The Castle will assume the role of anchor to a vibrant and marketable arts district, drawing inspiration from both the downtown area and the College, while attracting visitors to Beloit.

Currently, there are few venues in the immediate Beloit downtown area capable of hosting large events.  Local corporations and groups that need space to have special parties or meetings are faced with limited choices, and The Castle will provide an attractive option for memorable gatherings, becoming a central meeting place that offers food services in a unique historic atmosphere.

The Castle

Our opportunities for fellowship and education are boundless.  The resident Arts Academy, class field trips, healthy living seminars and life skills management classes through The Youth Unite will bolster Beloit as a safe, vibrant community.

The staff required to manage and operate the building during events will create dozens of jobs that will remain in Beloit as long as The Castle looks out over the city.

We are firmly committed to providing the human capital and obtaining the financial backing to make our vision for this historically significant building, and for the people of Beloit, a living reality.
